Privacy Policy

Chikou Lab LLC (知行Lab合同会社, “we”) handles information used by MealMind / 食刻 (“the App”) as described below.

1. Information we collect

When you use Sign in with Apple: an Apple user identifier and, when Apple provides them, your name and email address
Purchase and subscription transaction identifiers, product, status, and expiration supplied by Apple
Household inventory, household profile, food preferences, avoided ingredients, cookware, and shopping lists
Cooking records, family ratings, notes, and photos you choose to upload
AI requests and results, language, and grocery-market region settings
Minimal authentication, security, abuse-prevention, and diagnostic records

To manage inventory and provide meal, shopping, and step-by-step cooking suggestions
To sync data across devices and share it with members of a household you join
To save cooking photos, records, and recipe versions
To authenticate users, secure the service, provide support, and improve reliability

To generate suggestions and scan receipts, relevant inventory, preferences, request text, and any photos you choose to scan are sent to the AI processing providers DeepSeek and Google Gemini. This happens only after you give explicit consent in the App, and you can withdraw consent at any time in Settings › AI Data Sharing. We do not send passwords or Apple authentication tokens to AI providers.
Sign in with Apple is processed using Apple services.

Members you invite to the same household can access that household’s inventory, cooking records, photos, and ratings.
We do not sell personal information for advertising. The App does not use IDFA or third-party advertising tracking.

We keep information while needed to provide the service and use reasonable safeguards including access controls, encrypted transport, and protected authentication tokens. Guest data remains on the device unless you sign in and sync it.

You can export data and initiate permanent account deletion in Account & Privacy inside the App. We attempt to revoke Apple authorization tokens during deletion and provide manual revocation instructions if Apple is unavailable. In a shared household, data owned or needed by remaining members may remain available to them.

Camera and photo-library access is used only when you choose to capture, select, or save a cooking image. The App does not collect precise location.

The App is not offered in the Kids category and is primarily intended for adults. It includes adult alcoholic drink recipes. We do not encourage underage drinking; children’s drink suggestions are separated and labeled alcohol-free.

AI suggestions are general cooking assistance, not medical, nutrition, or allergy advice. Users must verify allergens, doneness, food safety, and expiry information.
